After many years of circling around it, Dan McGlade has officially begun a new role as a bass guitar tutor and band mentor at Craven Academy of Modern Music.

Dan has spent many years working in and around music education, theatre and performance, but admits that taking on regular instrumental teaching brought with it a surprising amount of nervous anticipation.
Fortunately, the first sessions went rather better than the catastrophes his brain had been predicting.
With the support of Academy leader Meg Roe and the rest of the teaching team, Dan is now working with students on bass guitar, songwriting and playing together as a band.
It’s a new strand to an increasingly varied musical career, and one he’s thoroughly enjoying.
